Roots was born from a straightforward concept and a commitment to realization. In 1973, Michael Budman and Don Green established Roots, driven by their love for Ontario’s Algonquin Park and all that it symbolized for them. Launching in Toronto with footwear, Roots expanded to offer high-quality leather bags, jackets, accessories, their renowned salt & pepper sweats, natural fiber apparel, and home decor. The leather goods have been, and remain, crafted in Canada at our own facility in Toronto.
